Aadi month

1. We give 2 kgs of kezhvaragu and 1/2 kgs of arisi noi to Amman temple.

3. All the fridays do one kalandha sadham as neivedhyam
4. Celebrate Aadi amavasai if there is kartha at their house
5. Celebrate this month krithigai as Aadi krithigai
6. Varalakshmi nonbu

Aadi velli

Generally done on the first Friday of aadi month. We put villakku using two bananas instead of maa villakku. This is followed as simple neivedhyam is enough for this pooja.
Items required for the pooja:
Beetle leaf
Kottai pakku
Manjal podi
Kumkum
Sandal powder
Banana
Coconut
Milk
Kalla paruppu payasam/ sarkarai pongal
3 paruppu vadai
One kalandha sadham
Sundal

Procedure for pooja:
First cut the banana in the centre in a square shape and take the pulp from it and pour ghee and Put the cotton thiri and lit the lamp and start with the ganesa pooja and tell lakshmi ashtothram and do the neivedhyam and complete the pooja by giving thamboolam for sumangalis.
